5.18 관련 사진전(37주년), 서울시청 시민청에서 열린다

(광주=국제뉴스) 류연선 기자 = 사단법인 광주학교 주최로 5.18 관련 사진전이 오는 12일부터 19일까지 일주일간 서울시청 시민청에서 열린다.

광주와 서울 시민들의 후원으로 마련되는 이번 전시회에서 문선희 작가는 80년 5.18을 경험한 초등학생 80여명의 인터뷰 내용과 사진을 묶어 '묻고, 묻지 못한 이야기 - 아이들의 기억으로 만나는 오월 광주'전을 연다.

지난 4월 전두환 회고록이 출간되어 논란이 된, 5.18 광주민주화운동은 이미 국가에 의해 기념일로 지정되고, 유네스코에서도 민주주의와 인권을 위해 시민이 저항한 명예로운 사건으로 정의됐다.

그 날의 최초 발포명령자는 여전히 밝혀지지 않았다. 발포는 했는데 명령자가 없다. 전두환은 회고록을 통해 자신은 5.18 광주민주화운동 유혈진압과 무관하다며 혐의를 부정하고, 심지어 자신이 피해자라고 자처하고 있어 공분은 더욱 커지고 있다.
