5.18 민중항쟁 제28주년

서.울.행.사.

 

서울시청 앞 광장에서 열립니다.

 

28년전

1980년 5월 18일

'민주화의 봄'을 갈망하던 모든 도시는

전두환을 위시한  군부독재세력의  총칼 앞에 숨을 죽였고

삼천리 강토의 모든 이들

눈도 귀도 입도 가려져 있을 때

 

광주에서는...

계엄군의 잔혹한 살육전(작전명령- 화려한 휴가) 앞에

이 땅의 순결한 백성들...  피 흘리며 죽어갔죠.

 

진실은 알려질거라고,

누군가가 와줄거라고  애타게 기다렸던 광주시민들은

 

전쟁에나 투입되어야할  훈련된  특수부대에 대항해

출입 통제, 언론통제, 통신두절로 고립된

절망의 도시에서

민주시민들의 광장을 열었고,

 놀라운 해방 공동체를 실현했고

민중의 삶을 억압해온 반 민중적 권력에 결연히 맞서

끝내 죽음으로 역사 승리의 길을  걸었습니다.

 

스스로 

항쟁의 깃발이 되었고

어둠 밝히는 빛이 되었고

함께 여는 새 날의 밑거름이 되셨습니다.

 

오월영령들께서 일깨운 그 길을

수많은 민주열사들이 걸었고

그 안에서 우리는 정화되고 단련되며 새 날을 열어왔습니다. 

 

 28년이 걸렸습니다.

그러나 더 가야할 길

 

5.18민중항쟁 28주년,

국가기념일 제정 11년,

그러나 민주시민들의 열린 광장이라는 서울시청 앞에  이제야  처음 서는, 

5.18민중항쟁  공식 서울행사입니다.

 

망월동 무덤에 계신 오월영령, 605기의 유영을

한 분 한 분 사진으로 담아

모두

모셔왔습니다

 

 

오월영령들과 서울에서 만나는 날
