【서울=뉴시스】김선웅 기자 = 송영무 국방부장관이 9일 오전 서울 용산구 국방부에서 5.18 특조위 발표 관련 국방부의 입장을 발표하고 있다.

 국방부는 이날 발표를 통해 5.18 광주민주화운동 과정에서 군이 개입해 광주시민을 학살한 것에 대해 국민과 광주시민에 위로와 사과를 드린다고 말하며 이번 국방부 특조위는 법적 한계로 미진한 부분이 있었다며 5.18 특별법이 통과될 수 있도록 노력하겠다고 밝혔다. 한편 국방부는 지난 7일 5.18 광주민주화운동 38년만에 80년 5월 계엄군의 헬기사격을 공식 인정했다. 2018.02.09.
